Insert the panel into the corner moulding. Use a trowel and apply a 1 4 inch thick layer of frp adhesive to the back side of the first panel. You will start at a corner of the wall and work your way around. Apply adhesive to the framing in a wavy pattern.

Install the panels to the wall studs with finishing nails or a pneumatic nailer. Measure the height and width of each wall you re covering to find its square footage. Before you start your frp panels installation cut your corner moulding. Trim the inside edge the edge in the corner of the panel if necessary to allow the panel to hang properly.

Drive four finishing nails through the top edge of the panel. Cut each sheet 1 4 inch shorter than the distance from the floor to the ceiling. Don t forget to subtract the size of any doors or windows. Paneling is sold both in boards and sheets but sheets are generally a little easier to install.

Installing paneling is a lot like hanging wall paper. Adhesive may be used to fasten panels to a smooth well adhered surface. This must be plumb or the remaining panels will necessarily be crooked. To install sheet paneling properly you ll need to know how many sheets you will need. Press the panel firmly onto the wall and add nails at approximately 12 intervals to hold it.

Use a level to check the outer edge of the first panel. Divide the wall length by the width of your panel sheets to get the number of sheets you ll need. Estimate the number of panels needed by measuring the room circumference in feet and dividing by four. On the back of each panel place a 1 4 bead of adhesive about 1 from the edges of the panel.

Once you are satisfied with the fit remove it from the wall and place it face down on the floor.
