Center the pipe in the flashing and push the flexible front corners up or down so that the flashing pipe is parallel to the vent pipe.
Carefully remove all the shingles from the flashing.
Further your step flashing pieces need to be 10 inches 254 mm long and at least 2 inches 50 mm wider than the exposure of the shingle you re using.
Now that the old flashing is gone you can slide the new flashing over the pipe vent and maneuver it under the shingles above the pipe.
Slide the new flashing over the vent pipe and under the shingles above the pipe.
Remove the old and clean the pipe.
Pull the old flashing up over the vent pipe and scrape any old caulk and debris off the roof.
