Remove the two screws from the latch plate on the edge of the door and remove the latch from the opening.

Center and level the first section after you install the brackets.
Pull the handle away from the face of the door and spray a generous amount of lubricant on the inner.
Install a new door lock and door knob by inserting the latch through the hole for the new parts.
With the latch assembly in place slide the door handle with the attached cylinder into place.
