Also these cables can be hidden behind surface mounted channels which can be purchased in an array of colours to aid in camouflaging the wiring.
Use level when drilling to make sure holes are level.
When you decide where to place the holes in the wall you should get the lower one as close to an existing wall outlet as possible.
